United Methodist Church

"Did You Know?" Awareness Campaign

CASE STUDY

Most of the 12 million UMC members were either unaware of these programs or were unclear on how their donations were being distributed.

The Connectional Giving system is the United Methodist Church’s (UMC) leading vehicle to collect member donations and allocate them to various church funds and causes. The donations are distributed to UMC ministries, six churchwide Special Sundays, and The Advance, a special ministry that ensures 100% of its donations go to its intended programs, instead of being used for overhead costs.

UMC partnered with MRS to create a digital campaign  to raise awareness of the Connectional Giving system and its associated resources among leaders, members, and donors.

We created wide-ranging content that UMC used in a robust digital marketing campaign including social media, websites, and e-newsletters. Each element featured the campaign’s theme, “Did you know?” and featured a question about various UMC funds. The users found the answers on a corresponding landing page.
